LR question....

okay - so, I know the answer to this one, I think - I'm having one of my blonde days today.

anyway - I'm buing about 10 - 20lbs of LR from HR ASAP (I needed another acronym, OK? Just FYIO!) and I'm going to use about 10 of it for the wife's nano.

Now - I've got a 45g cube with a 20g sump running with about 40 - 50lbs or rock... I was thinking of just dumping the new stuff in my sump and display until she is ready for it, as I want to keep it "cycled" - what are the thoughts behind how to do this? I don't want to toss my display into heck when I rip 20% of the rock out that ws added in, and I also don't want to have any die off of her rock so that I can add it direct to the tank
