![]() Hey guys,
I was just wondering if it would be alright to store my clown fish in a big bucket full of tank water for an hour or so while I clean out the algae from my tank and sand, which usually causes a big sand storm. |

![]() Ya you can do that, just monitor him and if he starts breathing heavy put a powerhead in the water near the top.

![]() Thanks. One more thing. Should I turn off all filters and powerheads while I clean the walls/sand in my aquarium? Would this help settle the cloudyness faster?

![]() It would but if you want to remove the stuff, let filters run etc until it's fairly clean, then clean or replace the filters. Just remember to keep the clown fish at a temp similar to what it was at in the tank, an airstone or a power head will keep the water oxygenated.
If you lived closer I'd lend you a 5 gallon tank to hold your clown for a couple hours. Doug |

![]() I dont run any media in my filters (standard aquaclear HOB filter).. Is there something I should put inside of it when doing this, like a standard sponge?
