Default Sump, Overflow, Skimmer, Baffles - OH MY!!

it is officially up! The overflow is overflowing, the return is returning and somehow my floors are not SOAKED with water!!! ^_^

I'll take some pics of it once my girls go down to bed, but other than there being a LITTTLE drip at the base of the overflow, I'm going to remove that later tonight and add some of the tape used for showerheads, it's not actually leaked more than a drip, but I'd rather be safe, than sorry.

I've somehow stopped the overflow from sounding like a crappy drain, although I'm worried it'll come back (it seems the back pressure is what is causing the noise.

I'm having problems with the venturi on my Maxijet, it seems to be, well, shooting water out instead of sucking air out... Any thoughts?

Okay - still going well, other than the joyful gurgle I get whenever I put my hand in my tank...

Anyone have any ideas on controlling the speed of the overflow? The tubing is very rigid, and I MAY get a control valve, but heckfire knows where I'll find it... any ideas?
