![]() just order a custom build 250g tank.. will be here in April.. I am looking at building my first skimmer and thinking about Beckett Skimmer and I read that there are good for big tank.
Any experienced nice Edmonton hobbyist got any blue print, guide or information how to get 1 done that can support 250g tank. I have no idea how to get thing start and lost after reading so many mix and match info on the internet... =( |

![]() Honestly, I was a big fan of becketts before, but the fact that you can get pretty good needlewheel pumps off the shelf now has made me change my tune. Not only that, but there is a lot less work involved IMO in building a needlewheel skimmer than with a beckett.

![]() Well when it come to Reef/Saltwater hardware I still consider Noobs =( There is too much information on the Information Highway and easy to get lost and big mess and that what happen to me.. getting confused and conflict idea.
So I really don't know what is good for a big tank. The tank will come with a Sump and refugium (can't spell that thing) so I decided to put a skimmer there. The only skimmer and also my first work one is AquaC Remora for my 30g. So from 30g to 250g is a huge jump for me to learn all about pumbling, sump, ,refugium and a huge skimmer that efficient enough to skim all the puffers poop.. that tank going to be a different speciest of Puffer fish tank |
