Default My 60 Gallon cube starts taking shape

Well I've been working on this tank for a bit now, built the stand from 1x4 doubled up and then used red oak for the face and red oak ply for the sides. The stand is sealed with 3 coats of Killz primer sealer, I used an antique mahogany stain and 3 coats of varathane. I like the way the stand turned out even though it's not quite finished, I'm still building the front door. I am NOT pleased with the canopy though and will be redoing it when the weather improves.
Equipment is
24x24x24 tank, 60 gallon
Seio 820 Unsightly but they move water
Seio 620 x 2
Mag 5
27 gallon glass sump
(I built the sump so when water flows in it will flow under some reef rubble and up and through the rubble. I'll be keeping mushrooms (maybe) and some soft coral frags in the rubble. The water will flow over a baffle then my skimmer can take some of the water, it will flow over another baffle and go through a bubble trap, flow over my heater and the Mag 5 will do it's thing)
2 T5 HO Actinics
250 Watt HQI with a Lumen Max 3 Reflector
ARO Electronic Ballast
Coralife skimmer (eh... it'll do)

It's a fairly simple set up, my last set up had wires everywhere and I wanted to keep this one simple but effective. The canopy has it's own wiring seperate from the stand other than one extension cord that supplies the canopy with power, that way if I need to remove the canopy I can just unplug the one cord and slip it all off.

Anyway enough chit chat here are some links to pics.

Sorry was busy editing, had a problem with an explorer crash and was lucky to save the text before it all shut down.

Thanks guys, no it's a new tank, etc etc etc... I'll post some more pics tonight or tomorrow now that it's running with some base rock.

Default A few more pics of the 60

I took a few more pictures over the last few days of my cube as it's coming together. I'm going to hit Rona tomorrow and get some oak to finish the door and perhaps enough to re-do the canopy but we'll see, I'm just not sure what to do with it to make it look better.
For the sump you can see where the two PVC pipes flow into a bag, that's a 200micron filter bag, the water goes under all that macro algae then over that frosted acrylic bit, you can see where the heater is on the right side and ... well you get the picture.
