Default got hole saws? (drilling sump)

i want to give this a go, was wondering if anybody in town wants to help a guy out drilling a sump- either lend a hole saw or else come by for a few colds ones and help out. North end of town and looking to drill for a 1.5 inch bulkhead.

If you're going to go with a 1" bulkhead (1-3/4" hole for sched40 bulkhead) I can help you out, either lend you my bit or I could do the drilling. It would be the same size hole as what you have on your 20g overflow.

I also have 5/8" which is perfect for float valves (i.e. auto topoff).

I don't have any other sizes though. At the price of the bits I went with the two sizes I figured I'd use the most.

Kari lives much closer to you though than I do though

i just got two off e-bay. they're diamond thk diamond bits. they come from korea. not super high quality, as the diamond's glued to the bits, but for $4 each, they're a solution if you're on a tight budget. took about 2 weeks to get here, no duty (shipped postal).

i'd offer to lend you one of mine, but i don't have the size you need unfortunately.

What size hole are you after? I gather a 1" bulkhead isn't what you want?

Sorry that I didn't read your first post where you said 1.5" bulkheads BTW.

The hole size for 1.5" bulkhead is I believe 2.5" (65mm), at least according to this page it's 2.5" (I'll check when I get home from work, I have some 1.5" bulkheads I can measure to be sure).
http://www.wetdryfilter.com/drilling_holes.htm

Anyhow I just came into a situation where I need to drill a hole for 1.5" bulkhead too, so I just ordered me a 2.5" glass bit. If you're still in need of getting the stuff drilled when this arrives, you can borrow it... I'll post back when I get it.
