Default New 90 Gal

I just bought a 90 All Glass tank and stand with a magaflow sump and a Rio hyper flow return pump, lighting is supplied by two 150 watt HQI and 2 two 40 watt t-8 fluorescents. I am upgrading form a 75 gal tank that was not drilled and was starting to have problems (hair algae mostly)
I am looking for any advice I can get, I have 3 fish and some soft/zoos and a lot of live rock (80 lbs)
Hair algae has always been a problem with salt my tanks

Algae means there's too many nutrients in the tank (usually). What skimmer do you run? What kind of water do you use (tap, store bought, ro/di, etc)? How is your alk?

If you have a lot of it, you can get a sea hare to eat it. They mow through it pretty quick.

Yeah, a sea hair will make short work of it, in my experience.

I would go barebottom and watch how much you feed. Only add ro/di water and run some sort of phosphate removal media in your sump.

I would check and see how much your protein skimmer is pulling out of the tank maybe you dont have it set high enough. on my 90 gal we empty the protein skimmer every 3 days and it is almost black
