I can't believe it I broke the chamber

Well i was fixing my euro reef for a modd that i had done. It wasnt modded right any ways. I had to take off the in line pipe for the skimmer feed tube to feed the skimmer . So i put a union on it to allow me to add and remove the feed line with ease other then breaking the seal. SO i refix the problem and ended up taking a 4 -5 " piece of chamber out towards the top of the euro reef ... MAn i'm ****ed off and with out a skimmer since i paided 800 for the friggin thing. I'm ready to pack it in and say good bye to this hobby I think I'm done.

Sorry to bitch online just needed to vent really bad.

If any one has a idea on how to fix this throw me a few hints. I thought about getting a piece of curved acrylic and some weld on 16 or 4 to fix this. would this work.....

Hang in there man!!

It's hard to say without seeing what it looks like, but you should be able to piece it back together with some weldon-16 (maybe not even need a patch).

What I would do is get some of that aluminium duct tape and tape alongside the crack on one side. Then use a bead of weldon16 (much like a silicone bead) along the crack on the uncovered side. Let sit one day; then take the tape off and weldon16 on the side that had the tape. Might take a few tries to fill it in and get it solid, and it will look like butt, but it should hold.

On my ASM G3 when I did the recirc mod, I didn't like where I had drilled it first so I did this to patch the hole so I could try drilling in a different spot. It ain't pretty but function is more important than form.

If it makes you feel any better, here's how my day started off. I drove to work as usual, parked in the parkade. My card key opens the parkade door.

I walk to the stairwell of our building, toss out my banana peel and apple core into the garbage by the door, then check to make sure I still have my card key so I can get into our building. Whoops, must have left it in the car. Walk back to the car and look. Hmmm, not here. Well I got into the parkade so obviously I had it five minutes ago? What the .. ?? Flash back to the banana peel and apple core. Oh no!! I threw it in the garbage can!!

Ok, wait until nobody's around then go start poking in the garbage can. Hmmm, I don't see it? But it must be here? Look around once more. Nobody. Ok, here goes. Tip the garbage can upside down and empty it onto the ground so I can find my #$@%$#%$#!!! access card.

Who walks up? A VP of our company .... "Oh .. hi .."

Ok, my card isn't here. Go back to the car and look again. Yup, here it is, it fell under my seat.
