Default FW dips and bacteria

Am i risking nuking all my benficial bacteria in my live rock if i give it a fw dip before throwing it in my new system? I have some flatworms i dont want coming over into the new tank and was wondering if there are any ill effects involved with dipping everything.

Why not just nuke the flatworms with some flatworm exit before you move it over?

if i can keep chemicals out of my tank i would like to. that would have to be my last ditch effort. was going to use previous systems water for switching over to the new tank as well

Just wondering.

Is the rock that is up for trades in this thread from the same system with the flatworms?

yes there are some flatworms. it hasnt been bad enough for me to take measures against them such as flatworm exit, i just vaccum and they come and go. i wouldnt mind nuking them while i have all the rock out though.

I have used Flatworm Exit a couple of times.... worked great.... never had any problems with the other critters or the Corals in the tank.

Just my $0.02...
