Is there any advantage or disadvantage to having your overflow go through a UV Sterilizer before it hits your sump as long as the flow is appropriate and it's mounted horizontally?

I'd say a huge disadvantage is that you're not passing particle free water through the sterilizer.

now that I have said that I think it is a bad idea to have it on your overflow because of the amount of air that is carried through the overflows. Steve
