![]() I have a huge problem. My sandbed for the past four months has gone brown. I have tried feeding less and that didnt help, vacuming didnt either so I bought a sea cukeumber and all it does is slack off. Any tips? The sandbed looks horrible.

![]() Dragon goby and a pistol shrimp works great for me, keeps my entire 180g nice and white.

![]() The first thing I would do is change the avitar. Man that M M is creepy. After that I would add in a few fighting conches and a pair of watchman or orange spot gobies to help sift the top layer of sand. There are other good sandsifters but some fish (eg: dragon goby) make a real mess and spread sand all over, while watchman tend to stay low in the tank. IME What size of tank is it?

![]() My dragon definately makes a mess, but he is well worth it, so great to watch. My orange spot did diddly squat for sifting, he just sat on the sand and protected my piston shrimp.

![]() Ditto, battled my problem with a huge skimmer and good flow. I am starting to see the benefits of spending large dollars for a good skimmer

![]() I cant really have a pistol shrimp and goby because my tank is full of fish that would eat them. The tank is a 75 gallon FOWLR. For a skimmer I have a Red Sea Berlin Hang-on Protein Skimmer and for flow I use a Quite One 6000 but with not all of the flow on. 1506 g/h would be too much so I have this nifty little deelie that I turn to change flow. Fighting conches would be a good idea.
