It's not really that amazing; aside from militaristic use, the pornography industry was the driving force behind the popularization of the internet in the first place.

And look at Beta versus VHS. VHS won that one on the back of the pornography industry despite the fact that beta format is superior.

Porn makes the world go 'round. ;)
