As for the polyp color. mine were always a bit brown. But had the purple color to them when I had then right under my 250W then the 400W. The skeleton is what you will mostly see as purple.

Is the Purple Digitata suppose to have brown polyps?

thats what i thought...the skeleton is purple.....I picked up some tri color Acro from J&L seems to be doing fine so far....keep my fingers cross
