Default How do you Dispose of Old tank

I am in the process of doing a complete clean of my main tank when I came accross a large crack on the bottom of my sump. Well now I have to dispose of this tank. How do you go about doing this safely. Do you simply take it to the dump as one unit?

Any ideas?

If it is the bottom, you should be able to silicone another glass piece over top of it if you wish.

Otherwise, don't dispose of it. Sell it as a reptile tank, and use the money for livestock or equipment.

If you know someone who wants it its theirs free. It has all the baffles in it also. Maybe good for the glass.

Aquariums can be repaired (I should know, I've broken plenty of them ). So don't junk it, it has salvage value.

I'm sure someone will take it off your hands...
