![]() I just picked up the EHEIM Jager heater and am now a little confused. The box reads 'submersible', which is what I want since it will be howizontal in my sump. The heater itself has a waterline level on it that states 'no not immerse beyond water level' The directions dont really give much detail on the issue.
Does anyone have a Jager heater, and is it fully submersed? THANKS

![]() Moved to the main reef forum.
I run my Ebo Jager heaters submerged. My understanding is that they could not get CSA approval to be submerged, so they put that label on to be CSA-compliant. How you use it is your business, although my understanding is that if the heater fails and your house burns down, you will not be able to sue the manufacturer of the heater.
