It's a finger leather. Fine under low-med. lighting, like PC.

bi valve.. as in Shellfish? I don't think so.

I think they are called turnicate (sp) or something like that. I have a couple in my tank as well. As far as I know they are harmless.

Definetely looks like a tunicate.....aka sea squirt. They are harmless filter feeders. I have lots in my aquarium right now, probably because my water is not as pristine as it aught to be. They will not harm anything though.
