pick up some extra filters from ed, when you purchase your unit and you can save on extra shipping costs.
i bought my units 6 months ago, and just picked up a case of the "21 replacement filters" from aquasafe

I have one and it does work good...and I would buy another if this one crapped out. I bought extra filters when I bought mine cuz I am one to put things off if I don't have the parts....NOW. Just ask my wife

I think about 3 times as much water is wasted as is made... and that is something common to RO units. It is still good water though, just has higher disolved solids. I water the plants with mine.
