I'm sure you know this, but I'll give you my two cents anyway. Be real careful selecting your breeder. This breeds has been nearly ruined by overbreeding and "show" line breeding.

When I went looking for a dog I wanted a German Shepherd. I was warned that the are so inbreed at this point you never know what you are getting.
The police have started using other dogs because they are becoming more and more unpredictable and leave the handler with little or no control when the snap. As good as these dogs have been over the years I felt it was not worth putting one with my kids, so I bought a mutt instead. JMO Robert

I love my GS. She is about 9 years old. She has had problems with her hips, we ended up giving her injections a couple years ago, after a month, she seem to be really good... most gental dog I ever have known.

I'm looking at a breeder that supplies the police canine unit. Troy, perhaps you can run this kennel name by the fellow you spoke of ?
