![]() I went fishing today and caught a couple of fish. However, this time around when I gutted one I found inside a huge tape worm. I have never seen this before and I am not sure if the fish is safe to eat.
Anyone else come across this before? What did you do with it. I am leaning heavy to the garbage side but I hate to waste. Thanks

![]() I am no foodsafe guy but I don't think much can survive a day in the freezer... with the exception of some bacteria and virus' freeze it and you'll be fine

![]() Was it in the meat or the guts? IF its in the guts..no problem, in the meat I would cut out the portion where the worm was in. Other than that you should have no problem. Ive seen it before. Freeze it before eating just to be sure.

![]() It was in the guts of the fish, the meat was still nice looking.
Thanks for the responses.. ![]() ![]()
