Default Any foodsafe people in here?

I went fishing today and caught a couple of fish. However, this time around when I gutted one I found inside a huge tape worm. I have never seen this before and I am not sure if the fish is safe to eat.

Anyone else come across this before? What did you do with it. I am leaning heavy to the garbage side but I hate to waste.

Thanks

I am no foodsafe guy but I don't think much can survive a day in the freezer... with the exception of some bacteria and virus' freeze it and you'll be fine

Was it in the meat or the guts? IF its in the guts..no problem, in the meat I would cut out the portion where the worm was in. Other than that you should have no problem. Ive seen it before. Freeze it before eating just to be sure.

It was in the guts of the fish, the meat was still nice looking.
