Aquarium, seastar. I wouldn't have any success at all without this piece!

top as in:
- most utilized
- become cranky without them

1st - RO unit
2nd - brute garbage can
3rd - power head and garden hose

without the RO unit:
- i have to buy 5 gal a day for top up
- i have to buy 20 gal a week for water change

without the brute/PH/hose:

well if we exclude the tank and stand

1, MH lighting

2, good skimmer (Island aquatics)

3, Ca reactor (Island aquatics)if you keep more than a couple SPS, I have been missing mine sence I moved and boy do I miss it.

anything else is gravy, you can get buy with out RO by buying bottled water as I did at first (only the initial fill is a pain) and if you have a nano or sub 50 gal tank a RO will take a long time to pay its self off if only used for the tank.

1 I'd have to say first was my Ca reactor, with my 90 gallon tank I noticed an amazing increase in growth over supplimenting 2 part additives.

2 MH light was a huge bonus as well

3 This board, actually it's probably the most important thing I've found for keeping a reef. Advice and ideas from people like Steve, Brad, Jack and Wendell, not to mention everyone else. Yeah I'd have to say this board.

My Kangaroo dosing pump. It completely solved my Ca/Alk level issues by precisely controlling my Kalk input. Best thing I ever bought!
