![]() I want to try an experiment with shipping zoos by mail.
I have some red/orange zoanthids and I would like to trade a frag of these for some other color zoanthids. I already have brown and green ones so another color would be good. For years I have swapped FW plants by mail and I figure you could do the same thing with zoanthids as long as they are kept moist. What I am suggesting is take the zoanthid frag, wrap it in paper towel moistened with tank water, put it in a plastic bag, and mail it by 3-day express post. When I got my live rock there were many zoanthids which sprouted out of the rock even though it had been through a lot of shipping including 24 hours shipped out of water (but moist/damp) in a box. That is why I expect zoos can survive the 3-day trip in the mail. As I live far from civilization and frags are hard to come by up here, if there is anyone who wants to trade me for the zoos please let me know. |
