We're not into breeding finches, so we have only one of each species to keep the aggression low. Male blue capped cordon blue, male orange cheeked waxbill, female red eared wasxbill, male strawberry finch, male gold breasted waxbill, female firefinch, and a very young male society who is so full of vim and vigor - he's hilarious. Aviary, 5' x 2' x 6.5' tall, is now full to capacity ![]() |

![]() Very cool, I heard the Cordon Bleu's are hard to feed. There is a woman out here who has converted her back yard to an aviary for finches, it's quite the thing to see, she has breeding pairs everywhere.

![]() Cordon bleus are not at all hard to feed, neither the wild caught red cheeked we had years ago, nor the captive bred blue capped male we now have.

![]() Well there ya go, btw, Orchids aren't hard to keep either hard to get to bloom sometimes but they aren't hard to keep.
