Default WTB Camera

Looking for a good digital camera for taking aquarium pics. Minimum 4.0 megapixels and 3x or better optical zoom. Would like a higher memory card but not a deal breaker. Local only.

Is the Nikon 4100 still a good camera? They were in the London Drugs flyer the other day for under 300.

I got my Nikon 4300 at LD for $250. It's being discontinued & it was a demo-model, so the manager dropped it another $50 for scuff marks.

Anthony

You can get a 512 MB Compact Flash card at Atic computers for $50 or the Ultra II for $70.

What is the difference between a flash and a SD card?

I bought a minolta Z1 off of Ebay. It only has 3.2 meg pix but has a 40x zoom and has macro and super macro for those realy close up shots. It also takes B/W pics and takes movies too.

Here is a site that might help you decide what to buy.

Compact Flash cards are old technology & they're slightly bigger than the postage stamp-sized newer SD cards.

This is the camera I think I'll go with. It will take up to two hours of video in addition to still pics. Hopefully I can figure out how to post videos here.

Funky - looks almost like a tiny camcorder. Look forward to some results from that bad boy!

That definately looks more like a camcorder than a camera.
Im also interested in how the pics turn out with it.
