Is it possible to plumb in a mak 4 pump with out drilling holes in the sump or could a guy just run a syphon hose over the edge

A U-tube over the edge of your sump will work. Put either a T and cap, or a union on it, so you can prime the pump. Some people suggest using the largest diameter pipe you can put your hands on for the U-tube to maximize flow.

I just used a couple PVC 90's to make mine draw from the sump.
