BTA brown spots

My BTA bleached a few months ago. Recently I have noticed brown spots appearing on it's tenticles. Are these spots the beggining of a regenration of zoanthalea? The clone a gave to my friend a couple months ago exibits the same spots but in a completely different tank. What are the odds?

Fully stocked with fish, corals and usually some fine scotch
