Default Lighting Question again

I think this has been asked before but I have not been able to find it.

I have a standard PFO 250W ballast, what is the ignition mechanism?
And What name brand bulbs will fire on it?

Thanks
Jason

the "standard" 250 watt ballast relies on the starter in the bulb, this is a probe start set up. the only bulb that doesent have a probe starter built in that I know of for sure right now is the 250 watt radium. so your ballast will start almost all 250 watt bulbs.

thanks Steve, I don't know why I can't get that through my head.

Now to find a good bulb
Does anyone know a local or e store that sells 250W 10000K XM Bulbs?

OK you would think I would be brighter than this but....
I picked up my bulbs today and replaced then along with my VHO Atinics. My old bulbs were 250W Sun aquatic 10k and the new Ushio 10K the difference is incredible (not to mention I needed to desperately replace the VHOs) Should I Acclimate the tank to the new lights?

Thanks
Jason
