Default Reactor Info

In the bottom of reactor chambers I have seen a few different styles of bases, one style is nothing, substrate is poured directly into the chamber. Another is a plastic spacer sometimes with slotted or drilled hloes, sometimes with a screen or with a sponge.

What is the "better" system in peoples opinion....

Thanks for any info

Quinn

The foam or drilled spacer is used to protect the pump from sucking up media if the pump inlet is plumbed to the bottom of the reactor chamber.
