Default Halide question

How close can Metal Halides be, tip to tip. I have a 175w, and a 400w. there is a 2 inch gap between the 2 tips. is that too close?

I think that's fine. Let's face it, the heat from the neighbouring bulb isn't going to be greater than the heat each bulb generates itself.

As Brad says (5054 posts ), it should be absolutely no problem. If you can get a cigarette paper between the bulbs you will be OK.
