I am thinking of it but holding off because of possible noise issues and also I have already spent money on the pumps I have

Do it!
I had a hole in my pocket too. I ordered two of them on the 23rd. Overnight delivery. My wife went out for 15mins on the 24th and sure enough she came home to a note on the door from the UPS guy. So no delivery now until the 29th.
Just my luck, the only time I wish they would do the usual and throw on the doorstep and leave and it doesn't happen

Was told by a fellow local reefer that it's silent up to 40%, but starts whining at 50% and is really annoying at 100%. And that this is a common complaint from other users, not just his.

That's why I ordered two. The cords suck yes but two cords are better than the five cords from my Tunzes. At least the Gyres can be put near the surface so kind of less cord in the tank.

I still think my Vortechs were the best water movers I've had but couldn't take the noise any longer even after having several of them replaced on warranty.
Tunzes are silent but too big and well.......the ugly cords.
Derailed this thread sorry
