Default Quarantine Tank rock

Is there any reason I shouldn't put a chunk of my fully cured, now dry, pukani from fijireefrock into my 20 gallon quarantine tank for additional bacteria surface area?

Thanks

Some don't like LR in their QT in case they need to medicate.

Does it have some negative interaction with medication?

No, but some meds will get into the rock and it becomes useless for anything else. Like copper for instance.
I think I read too that it may also absorb some meds making the concentration less than you think. You could just take it out if you're going to medicate.
