Default updated set up

Display: Sea Star 58gal.
sump:30gal aquarium fed by H.O.B. overflow. Custom sump in the works.
Modified "Durso"standpipe.
Lighting: 6x55W PC's; four 10000K's, 50/50 + antinics. Three seperate dual-bulb fixtures on staggered timers. I want to upgrade to MH...
Refugium:5gal rubbermaid w/gravity feed to sump. RDP lighting is via 20w 6500k dual bulb mounted in a Coral Life reflector in the stand.macros, liverock, mangroves, sugarsand & mineral mud layers, fed by MJ 1200.
Skimmer: Beckett modified ETSS Super Reef Devil w/Mag 12.
Heaters:2x150w Ebojaegers
Live rock: 65#ish Fiji /Tonga /Branch. need more...
Substrate: approx 100#ish of sugar sand, mixed C/C, & crushed shells.
Additives: Kent Liquid Reactor.
return: Mag 7, planning to upgrade sump w/a new external return. The mag 7 will be plumbed to a closed loop w/ a "squid" fiture/wavemaker so I can lose all the damn powerheads in the display (four Maxijets).
Livestock: This is my first reef and has been a "Learning tank". I've found that softies do very well in my set-up & as such, are the main inhabitants. My Colt, toadstool & Spag. Leather are outgrowing the tank. Xenia is everywhere, still love that endless pumping but it has become a real weed. Lots of green Zoo's & star polyps. My LPS corals are a green & red open brain, & frags of both brown & green torch. The PC lights don't do the LPS justice, I can't wait to see them under Radiums... My favorite is my fat little Derasa clam, absolutely bulletproof, & has grown steadily & has forgiven all my newbie mistakes.
