Default Fireworm

Well, I've got one. A BIG one. I've seen at least five inches of it, and some of it was still in the rock.

I understand that it is most likely Eurythoe complanata, but its colour is more like the photos of Hermodice carunculata that I've seen. I can't get a good look at its mouth.

I only have LPS in this tank now. If it is Hermodice carunculata, will it eat those?

My fish have been pretty freaked for the last couple of days: the chromis are hiding behind the overflow box, the Signal Goby has moved his den, and the clown doesn't sleep in the upper corner by his cleaner magnet any more (the fireworm is directly below it). The fireworm came into the tank this last weekend.

Whatever it is, I'm pretty sure that based on its size I should remove it. Is that correct?

I have my new display tank, it has been drilled, and I've got it painted. I should have it up and running within two weeks as I still have a bit of work to do to it. If I have to remove the fireworm, can I wait until I have the new display up and running, or is the situation more urgent than that?

I do have a QT tank up and running, but I'm not sure that it is ready to host my fish yet. I'm seeding an external canister filter on the main system's sump, but I just started doing that on Friday.

There is a very nice and new-to-me LPS on the small rock that the fireworm is in. I don't want to risk the LPS. It has only been in the tank a couple of days.

So, I could remove it. But, that would be an absolute last ditch effort to resolve the issue.
