DIY Light Housing

I am looking to do a T5 and LED Retro but am having troubles figuring out how to mount everything.

Its going to be a metal skeleton skirted with wood and I beleive I have about 12-18" above the tank.

I was going to buy a Canopy shell but cant seem to find any.

Any idea where I can buy one? I need it 36"L x 12"W and 2-3"H.

BTW I am already talking with Modular LED so I need different options.
