JT,

I have seen some nice ones at Big Al's(Coq) and also at King Ed's.
Both stores get them in, IMO be sure to ask for shipment dates- then go in and put one on hold for a few days after it arrives, as alot of anemones don't ship that well. Also anemones that do come in healthy usually don't last too long in the store. I traded one in to King Ed's a few years back when it outgrew my reef after 2 years-it was sold within an hour!

Awesome,

Thx for the info.... so if you guys had to choose between a neon green bta and a neon blue carpet which would you go for? This is for a 72 gal.

Depends what you want! They're very different, in appearance, habits, habitat, needs, feeding, level of care - you name it!

Why do want one? I had a green carpet for a little while that was really cool to watch, but others haven't enjoyed the predatory nature they display (fish catchers).

BTAs are also cool if you find an interesting colour, as you have. They are less demanding as well, and don't require a DSB for them to settle in.

And then of course you have to judge the overall health of each animal, and make your best choice on which will survive, and go on to long life in your care. This is hard if you don't have some degree of experience with them to start with.

But a Blue Carpet? Tough to pass THAT up... What kind of lighting/setup/substrate/filtration do you have?

I've had both in the past.. the carpet was really easy, non-maintenance, never lost a fish to it... and the bta was actually quite weak and didn't last too long... not during my current tank... had neither.. so was just wondering what you guys think... it's a 72 gal tank.

The Blue Carpets I've seen in pictures of tanks are just amazing. I don't think BTAs can compare.

How much is the haddoni? Do you have a deposit on it?
