So my dumbass maroon clown got stung again by my foxface. The clown is a good 6 inches and very territorial and the foxface is closer to 3 inches and pretty timid. I've got lots of rockwork and it's a big enough tank that they can stay far apart, they just chose not too.

What sort of tolerance do fish that just don't learn have to a sting like this? |

A customer at the shop has had his fox face kill his atlantic blue tang, so must be potent enough.

I had no idea foxes are a threat to other fish. How do they accomplish this?

Foxface spines don't seem to bother my regal angel any...she grabs them in her mouth when she gives the foxface a shake.

My Achilles has been poked as well in the many battles they have had with no lessons learned...luckily the achilles finally won supremacy so that isn't an issue anymore |

My tangs always pick on my foxface. They grab his spines and shake, like Marie said. I was nailed by my foxface once when I was siphoning, and cornered him. I got a really good jab to my finger, and it bleed for a real long time. I did not get sick or feel much of anything, aside of hurt feelings. It hurt pretty bad for awhile too.

For most people the reaction is very similar to a bee sting...that being said if, you dont react well to bee stings then caution should be exorcised.
