I had a 301 on my Lifeguard 8W UV and had problems with airlock when I first started. I had to suck on the outlet to get the unit primed then the pump provided enough flow.

I don't know what yours looks like but maybe that is your problem. Is a 201 really enough for a 25W UV?

well going by the chart the best flow through it would be 100gph per hour which is what the 201 does I guess I'll try the good old suck method.

I bet the 201 does 100 GPH with no head, those power heads loose huge flow with any head on them. Good Luck, I never even got a flow chart with mine, flow just looked low enough for me.

I used to run my UV(same as yours) with the 401 270gph and it worked fine. I think I also tried the 201 and I don't think it worked properly. I also think the 401 was supposed to be the most efficient for this UV!?!.

Things actually seem to be going great with the 201. I timed out the flow while hooked up to the sterilizer and it was good.
