![]() So one or more of my fish decides to start munching on my clams. I remove them to the LFS to heal for about a month then attempt the return them to the tank saturday afternoon. It was snackycake central within the first hour. A mere 24 hours later I knew what I had to do. I missed the stores closing to return them and had to improvise (however I should have picked the label off
![]() ![]() Yay for handy strawberry containers! So far so good, at least they have their mantles out (except for the squidgy bastard who is one of the most cranky clams I have ever had. He does an excellent job of faking pinched mantle) Which is more than I could say for them a few hours ago. Some of the damage: ![]() ![]() ![]() Thats not as ugly as it was the first time I took them to the LFS (which is a good thing) but it was amazing how crazy the fish were on them this time around. There was a lot of interest but I couldn't pin any one fish as the culprit. Still not sure who did it, I'm placing my bets on the regal (who I did end up catching in the act, he divebombed one, not sure if he sampled any though) and the scopas (who spends far too much time and interest picking at the "algae" on the shell (its clean as a whistle). Anyway at this point I'm not sure what I'm going to do, I guess this is a best temporary solution and I'm moving in a month anyways, hopefully the move will shake things up a little.

![]() Well I guess we better start "fish whispering" and go "SSSHHH" and point at the tank until they learn... my hubby does it with a feeding stick when fish are being bad.

![]() Looks like a clamarium . I would bet the Regal to. I just got rid of mine because he was sampling the zoas.

![]() Sometimes in this hobby we have to make choices I guess. If you remember back when,
![]() ![]() Suppose in hind sight, should have kept the clams, as I ended up moving and gave the copperband to a friend, as my current tanks are to small for him. So now I have neither. ![]() Those are very nice looking clams though and a hard choice.
