Default Rock algae

Ok so I finally took down my daughters tank.....seriously it was going to hell in a hurry.
All corals and fish and other little dudes are happy and healthy and now reside in the wifes tank.
Problem I have now is the (used to be) really nice jakarta live rock is completely covered in the most insane tough hair algae I've ever seen. How do I get it off? I'm gonna rebuild the tank for my girl but I honestly wouldnt feel good about putting this rock back in.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Look through the hair algae and rock cooking guides in my signatures. Detailed instructions there. with different options

depending on how long you are going to take to rebuild the tnak i would take the rock and stick it in a dark area with not light and run Phos ban in a reactor to kill off the PO 4 in the rock and you should be good to go, or cook the rock..
