![]() whales are mammals though. these guys are squid (a cephalopod) and should only have a single calcareous "pen" through the length of their mantle (body). the tentacles shouldn't have bones... although we don't know jack about these guys, so if we were to catch one and find bones in there... that might make them an entirely new genus of cephalopod!
