Default 1" Locline

Are there any shops in calgary that carry 1" locline's? or is 1" usually special order?

Or, anyone got some extra 1" threaded locline laying around I can snatch up?

I've only ever seen 1/2" and 3/4". FWIW, you can use a 1" line and then a bushing down to 3/4" and it tends to look pretty good that way.

.... Hmmm, ok, just checked, both locline.com and modularhose.com don't seem to list a 1" size - there's 1/4", 1/2", 3/4" and then it seems to jump to 2.5". So maybe there isn't a 1" after all...

I'm not sure about that... Red Coral said they make 1", just that its special order.. Going down to 3/4" is not really an option, as my returns are running off a Reeflo Dart, 1.5" --> 1" bulkheads... 3/4" is just another drop down I would like to avoid...

I'll be starting to pack that kind of stuff this morning. I will go through my box of extra loc-line for you, and see what I can find.

perhaps look at other options. I know when I used 3/4" lockline that it was high maintanance. It's neat that you can bend it in any direction but the salt creep that was leaking from it drove me crazy.

I contacted locline a few months back asking if they make 1" and they said they don't.

I haven't had any salt creep on my locline before my 75G tear down... It's all under water and sealed with teflon tape.

The only locline I've seen on the end of 1" pipe is 3/4". Compensate for the pinching with additional outlets. I run ~2000gph (after head losses) in my 110g through 4 3/4" locline outlets with flared nozzles. There's no flow restriction. You can also get Y adapters to make a dual outlet at each location if that makes it easier.

I'd get Kevin to check into that for you, but, personally, I think what you're going to find is it's 3/4" after all. But maybe I'm wrong. My suggestion, order some and find out.
