Hello,

Quick question for someone. If I was to start a new reef tank with all the equipement, and subst. Can I start with a smaller amount of LR and add more as I can afford it over time?

Better off to put it all in at once. Everytime you add new rock your going to have another mini cycle, not the best thing for your tank. You could add more clean dead rock, Eco-rox or something like it. Your existing rock would seed the new stuff and slowly you will have more LR. Shouldn't cause instability in the tank.
