Default Question;

My salinity is a bit high, after my live rock was added. It was at an acceptable level of 1.027, and after the LR was put in it jumped to 1.031.
Is this something to be worried about? is this to high of a salinity and will it affect my cycle and or the life trying to grow on the rock???

How are you measuring salinity, with a refractometer, or a hydrometer? You should slowly get the salinity back down. as it will affect your tank, to what degree though, I don't know.

That sounds like the best thing to do. Not to be lazy but I believe you should be able to correct your saility in one shot and not over time. I don't believe bacteria are as sensitive to saility changes as our expencive corals are (Keep in mind I could be wrong so like all cycles make sure your measuring your perameters fairly often)
