Default Frag tank/Refugium

Is it possible to do this if you want to keep sps frags or would you need too much flow in the tank than what's desired in a refugium?

I was thinking of setting up like a 33G tank with chaeto on the bottom, egg crate above it and maybe a 175W MH over top. Any objections?

Won't it be a pita when you have to harvest the cheato.

I wouldn't think so. It's not like I would have any more than 10 to 15 frags at one time so they would be easy to relocate for the time being and I don't believe chaeto needs to be harvested that often.

Interesting idea. You could do this I think, just make sure the flow goes mainly through the top part of the tank where the frags are. You are going to block light to the chaeto with the frags, so don't fill the whole egg-crate and with halide it should be fine.

Chaeto has to be harvested surprisingly often, it groes quick!
