Well I also have a question on lighting but I figured that nothin gets attention like a new tank
![]() ![]() What I am wondering is if 2 400W MH will be too much light.....I was going to use 2 bat wing style reflectors and try and space the lights as much as possible but I don't want to cook my tank. |

What are your tank dimensions? Looks pretty tall, 400w would be the way to go if it is 24"+, depending on dimensions.
You can install fans and vents in your hood to keep the temp down. And if you will be running a sump, you can put a fan over it for further cooling as well. |

It was supposed to be 30" deep but the actual water deapth is more like 27"
It is a 35" radius tank (it is supposed to be 150 gal) |

I think 2-400W would be just fine...or ask Dez...he had 2 - 400W bulbs on his 46G bow
