Default cherub angel in need of therapy

I have a cherub angel in my 75g that spends at least half the day swimming laps around the seaweed clip. It doesn't matter if there's nori in there or not, nor does he try to prevent the other fish from eating.I once timed him and he spent 7 min straight, swimming in small circles around the clip this is not a sign of a happy fish.

Is my cherub the only neurotic one out there or do they all do this?

I use a chunk of PVC on a string to feed nori to my fish. If I leave it in the tank and then spend any time viewing the tank when the PVC is empty, the fish flock to it like its feeding time and will spend quite a few minutes crusing past to check to see whether I have put any more on it. I really do think they could spend all day just eating nori. Hence I have started removing the PVC after they're finished eating it
