holy crap. How does a fire burn through a firewall so fast? Wonder if it was his mods?

A car's firewall is hardly that. Lots of holes for wires, cables, hoses, and of course the heater plenum. Cars make great fires, tons of plastic to burn really hot and fast. Looks like one of his mods was probably the fault in the fire. That appears to be a turbo near where the fire started at the back of the engine. Probably something flammable to close to it. I've seen lots of DIY mods cause car fires, usually its the new high power stereo. Occasionally its because all the money was spent on the mods and not the car payments, so they decide to try to sell it to the insurance company

The turbo had massive boost and with boost comes heat the heat super heated up everything under the dash and started to burn, 2 people with fire extingushers stopped and put the fire out but the heat was so intense to would start again.
