![]() General question about lighting to see what some of you are using.
I am trying to decide what kelvin bulb to go with for a new 400 watt metal halide system I am ordering. I am currently running two 10k 175watt bulbs on the left and right side of my 180 gallon tank. For the center I will install the 400watt for Lps and Sps corals that need the brighter light. I also have 3 Vho actinics under the canopy. Would a lower kelvin bulb be beneficial ? or would it be better to stay with the 10k trend. Any info or thoughts would be appreciated on this subject. Stan |

![]() stay with the 10K if you like the look. lower K doesn't realy translate into better growth as lighting is just one part of the whole thing.
