Building tank - 2 questions

I bought a tank recently off another member, never seen fish and was custom made. The ad for the tank said 1/2 glass, however it's 3/8.

60 gallon. 36x24x16 tall.

1. Does it need to be braced?
2. Does it need spacers in the joints? (If so how thick)
Neither of which it came with
