Hi all I'm going to be setting up shallow long tank as a small upgrade from my 10 gallon nano.
The tank I have is 40"L x 14"D x 12"H about 29 gallon. I was wanting to keep the sight of equipment etc to a minimum so will be using a sump (looking for a 20 gal long) but I don't want to have an overflow box so was just going to use 2 x 1" bulkheads with these strainers

My question is would it be best to have the bulkheads both in the center and an inflow at either end or one bulkhead at each end and the inflows towards the middle?
I have 16" long Chinese led fixture that will go over it and am keeping sps as well as lps, zoas etc..
