glass prices are tied directly to energy prices.
The raw materials for most types of glass are relatively
inexpensive but the energy required to process and manufacture good quality glass (not cheap bottle glass) is driving prices up.
You could try giving Mitch at Interamerican in Calgary a call, but unless
you enjoy waiting months and possibly even into the next millenium , I
wouldn't recommend it.
I have used a company called Entrance Technologies several times over the years with good results. They are usually good about giving a fair price if they have cutoffs left over from other jobs and when they promise
something they have allways delivered. I haven't used them in a couple of years, but I'm sure it's worth a try. They are in the book (sorry I don't have # handy)
